Your first night, on arrival in Ojén, is in this small gem of hospitality in Andalucía, awarded 9+ for excellence on Booking and Tripadvisor for years. It is run by the Leenen family, Esther and Alex, who came from the Netherlands, where Alex was a renowned chef — on Thursdays he usually treats guests to a delicious dinner. Its exotic indoor pool makes the stay feel like a dream.

Night 1 · Monda

Hotel Castillo de Monda

De La Villeta 6, 29110 Monda, Málaga

A hotel run by a Dutch couple, with 32 comfortable rooms whose decoration and castle atmosphere take you back to medieval times. It also has a fantastic restaurant for dinner and a wellness service with physiotherapist and masseur.

Run for years by the Urbaneja family, this hotel has 26 carefully decorated rooms that turn rest into an art. It has a wonderful indoor pool, spa and wellness treatments, massage and physiotherapist.

Hotel Boutique Tolox

An intimate eight-room hotel, renovated in 2024, with a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Brian De Moutarde brings his restaurant experience from Antwerp to a distinctive restaurant in the heart of Tolox.

Night 4 · Casarabonela · after Yunquera

Hotel Málaga Sierra de las Nieves by Real Spain

Around twenty rooms in a countryside hotel from Real Spain Hotels, with an excellent restaurant. Selected as a comfortable alternative close to Yunquera, with transfers to and from the walking route arranged in advance.

Night 5 · El Burgo

Hotel La Casa Grande del Burgo

A manor house more than 150 years old, with 23 rooms and a wonderful restaurant. Juanjo Duarte and his wife Saray offer a personal welcome; Juanjo trained in hospitality in Germany before returning to his home village.

Arriadh Hotel

Partido Rural Santa Maria 274, Arriate

A peaceful six-room boutique hotel in the Serranía de Ronda. Dutch couple Wilbert and John moved to Spain in 2013 to create this small retreat, where the landscape and a personal welcome set the pace.

The journey ends with an elegant hotel stay in Ronda. The project selects this eighty-room hotel as a final treat: a place to relax, enjoy the surroundings and celebrate a week in the mountains of Andalucía.

WHAT IS INCLUDED

• Hotel nights

  Seven hotel nights after the walking stages: Monda, Istán, Tolox, Casarabonela, El Burgo, Arriate and Ronda. Hotel availability and room arrangements are confirmed before booking.

• Luggage transfer

  Optional luggage transfer can be arranged between hotels, so you walk with only a daypack. Costs are confirmed before booking.

• Meals

  A picnic for every trekking day is included. Dinners and breakfasts are not included in the price: the hotels serve great food and there are lovely restaurants in each village, so you can choose freely — or, if you prefer everything organised, we can arrange set menus at the hotels or local restaurants for you.

• Extra nights

  An optional arrival night at La Posada del Ángel in Ojén can be arranged before the trek.

The proposed journey includes seven hotel nights from Monda to Ronda and a picnic on each trekking day. An arrival night in Ojén, luggage transport, transfers and the Cortijo Los Aguilares winery visit can be arranged. Breakfasts and dinners are not included: choose the hotels or local restaurants independently, or ask 4HIKE to arrange menus.
